Often known as “God's Own Country” Kerala is one of the most spectacular places on the face of earth. Bordered by the Arabian Sea, the state is criss crossed by atleast 40 rivers. Occupying an elongated strip of land between the Arabian sea and the Western Ghats, Kerala with is sylvan hills, paddy fields, coastal fields, forests, canals, lakes and Backwaters , Kerala happens to be one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. With a pristine natural setting, there is something mystical about Kerala.
One of the most literate states in India, almost 90% of the total population in the state is empowered with school education. Being a typically agrarian society, much of the economy of Kerala revolves around agriculture and agro based industries. However with the diversification and liberalization of economy, the government has done much about Kerala. Information Technology and allied fields apart from the banking and finance industries are fast growing up sectors in the state. A lot of the Keralian economy rests on the fishing industry too. But with its alluring beauty and its mystical charms, Kerala is just perfect for any vacationer. The tourism industry has witnessed an all time high in the various districts of Kerala. While much about Kerala can be explored form the Nilgiris or the Palni hills, the beauty of the secluded Munnar or Coorg Valley is something which could bedazzle even the most ascetic of the person.
